Additional Comments:
This is an intact L. parietal bone of a sub adult, or extremely gracile individual. Further aging and sexing analysis is encouraged. Porotic hyperostosis is present in the central inner table of bone indicating iron deficiency. The lesion is approximately 55mm anteroposteriorly at its widest point, and approximately 40mm mediolaterally at its widest point. There are also intermittent smaller areas of iron deficiency pathology progressing towards the lambdoidal suture and mastoid angle. Staining of the element is similar to other skeletal elements in the comingled collection.
